Summa Summa Summa Time!

Hellooo hellooo! So not much has been going on. Just enjoying the summer and the state fair the last few weeks. Aaron and I took Buckley (that's what we decided to name the puppy) swimming over at my dads and I took a few pictures.
He actually did pretty well. We got him to swim back and forth to us and hang out on the floaty :)

Aaron got me a PUPPY!!!!

Yay! We are so excited to have a new little addition to our family :) We have been wanting to get a dog and have just been waiting for the right time... well the right time never came so we just went ahead and got one haha! We had to drive an hour and 1/2 to get the little guy but I couldn't be happier! He is a Boston Terrier. He is so sweet and cuddly. He could lick your face all day and not get tired :) We took him to my dad's house after we got him and he immediately left him a little present on the rug (whoops!). He slept through the night pretty well and aside from me waking him up to take him outside in the middle of the night (just in case!) he was so quiet and happy to be sleeping in our bed. We have been testing out Ty as a name for him but we are taking suggestions! Here's some pictures...

Gardening Adventures!

So I just found out that I am my Daddy's daughter :) I went to Home Depot (our new home away from home) yesterday and picked out a few different things to plant. We got tomatoes and cucumbers and peppers and some different herbs. Anyways, in our backyard there are a ton of wine barrels with plants in them (ugly plants that needed to be removed) so I went out there and dug them up (had some help from Aaron... there were spiders!) and then I had to dig up all the stuff that was inside and to my surprise there were huge blocks of cement in there. I don't know why but I got those out and made lovely little homes for my new babies :)

This is a picture of some of the barrels. You can see all the stuff I had to get out on the right in the little garbage can.

Then I put the fertilizer in :)

Here are my new babies. Tomatoes!

Then I put this little thing in so they could grow up into it with out falling over.

Here are some more barrels I had to get ready

These are Aaron's bell peppers he picked out. I hope 1 barrel is big enough for the 2!

And these are my little cucumbers!

Aaron's basil :)

I still have a few more things to plant. I am getting 2 separate barrels ready for zucchini. I've seen how big those can get so I decided they need their own homes :)Happy farming everyone!

4th of July weekend

So 4th of July weekend was busy but fun. We went to concert in the park on Friday to see Aaron's friend's band, The New Humans. They were really good and it was fun to see them play with a few guest musicians.
Saturday we relaxed and caught up on some much needed sleep and friend time. We also had Connie and her boys over for dinner at our house and it was so fun hosting and showing off our new home and all the work we have put into it. Connie got us a really cool clock that we are going to hang in our kitchen. It is going to be perfect :)
On Sunday, for he 4th, we went to the parade in East Sac and saw the cutest little kids on floats and people that dressed their dogs up in little 4th of July costumes. I think Aaron liked the dogs more than the adorable little babies that were all dressed up ;) We spent the rest of the day catching up with friends at a few different bars in downtown. After that... well we don't quite remember haha ;)
All in all it was a pretty amazing weekend and after all the jam packed weekends we have had it was really nice to just relax :)

Our new home

Our first blog...

Hi! I am new to blogspot and super excited to get started. Aaron and I are really going to try to keep this updated while we are getting settled in our new home together. We are busy bees but I want to keep this up to save all of our memories during this fun (and sometimes stressful!) time :)
